Twilight
Twilight came to us as a foster. She was very pregnant, skinny and a bit scruffy but very friendly. She had her kittens a couple of days later and we watched her take great care of her babies. After a few months when the time was right, her babies were adopted into their own 'forever' homes. Twilight was spayed and nursed back to health. With tears in our eyes we took her to PetSmart for adoption, confident the right family would fall in love with her.
A couple of hours later the phone rang. It was a Furry Friend volunteer at PetSmart who was deeply concerned about Twilight. She was freaking out in her cage and the volunteer was afraid she might actually hurt herself. We rushed to pick her up and bring her home. We figured the universe was sending us a message - we were the family who had already fallen in love with her!
Eight months later Twilight is the perfect cat for us. She loves curling up with my husband to get her head scratched (see photo). She provides great company to our other foster cats, playing with them and modelling great manners! When she's really relaxed she stretches out on her back and looks like a big furry starfish. Our guests have started to refer to her as our 'greeter' since she always rushes to the door when anyone arrives to welcome them with a sweet little smile.
We feel blessed to have Twilight in our lives. She's a true furry friend!
