Azrael & Buddy

Just a short note to update everyone at the shelter about a kitten we adopted from you, whom you named "Nina". We adopted her from the Pet Smart in Barrie on her very last day of being there this spring. We changed her name to "Azrael" after the Smurf-chasing cat owned by Gargamel in the Smurfs!! She is our favourite cartoon cat because she has personality! And Azrael is definitely living up to her name!! She is very, very talkative and extremely curious!! She is cuddly and loveable too! She was given a very clean bill of health by our veterinarian, which we are very grateful for because her new brother's health is compromised by permanent kidney disease and he can't afford to become ill. It took Azrael less than a week to win Buddy's heart!! She stayed out of his way the first few days while she was checking out her new digs. If she came upon him and he hissed at her, she just turned and found a new room to investigate. Our vet had given Azrael a bag of "treats" which she loves, and as soon as Buddy figured out that this new kitten came with "treats" ~ she was allowed to stay! Thank you for taking such good care of the pets at your shelter. She is a wonderful addition to our family, and without your help we would not have found her!
