Resolving to make things right for sick and abandoned animals
The Furry Friends' Board of Directors deeply appreciates your support in 2010! We look forward to working with you in 2011 to rescue animals in distress, rehabilitate them, and place them in loving, permanent homes. Every donation and every adoption makes a dramatic difference to sick and abandoned animals who come to the Furry Friends shelter.
Sabrina was a feral cat who came to us undernourished, with an upper respiratory tract infection and an ulcer that threatened the loss of her eye. She was very afraid, but let us apply her eye cream and antibiotics four times a day. Her foster parents fell in love with her and adopted her. She's a wonderful pet and a great pal to her friend Twilight (also a rescued cat).
Finnigan and his littermates were so sick that they had to be kept in an intensive care room at the shelter. To help them get better faster, they were then placed into a foster home to get special round-the-clock attention and TLC. After weeks of nutritional supplements and gentle face washes, Finnigan and his siblings were adopted into loving homes.
Tim's mom was rescued by Furry Friends from an abusive home. She was skinny, pregnant and infested with fleas. Unfortunately, Tim was the runt of the litter and needed supplemental feeding from a bottle. In the end, he grew healthy and strong and lives happily at his adoptive home to this day.
